In past few years, the congestion and its control has been an area of interest where lots of developments are there, due to three reasons: The worldwide spread of internet has make it unmanageable. The transmission technology is  developing exponentially. As inventions in optical field  has made the hypothetical bitrates like Gbps and Tbps manageable in real life.
